Ahmed holds a Bachelor of Commerce, and since the commencement of his career in 1995 at Eldib, has proven to be a commercially oriented claim handler.
Ahmed started working before graduation in 1983 and had his first full time job in Stuart, Florida for an American company, Gyro Gale Stabilizers, working in the production of marine equipment. Since 1985, Metwally worked as a credit officer with Banque Du Caire et de Paris, (a joint venture between the French Bank BNP ParisBas and Banque du Caire). Subsequently he joined a shipping agency until he moved to Eldib as a claim handler in 1995.
Since becoming part of the Eldib Pandi Team, Ahmed has been working within the maritime and P&I departments. His experience in the banking field, especially in the Letters of Credit department, and as a correspondent in a shipping company are key assets which enhanced his knowledge with respect to the commercial aspects relating to the shipping and maritime insurance industry.
Ahmed has been a corner stone in at Eldib Pandi and his been in charge of our survey department, Eldib Survey, which has been growing steadily since its establishment.
Ahmed handles a wide range of claims including allisions with berths and port equipment (gantry cranes), pollution, FFO claims, injury and crew claims, cargo claims, Collision & grounding incidents, Fines and Customs claims, Salvage & Towage and has been known as a persistent and tough negotiator.
Ahmed is also responsible for circulating to our clients all relevant information related to Marine and other developments in Egypt and the region, including commercial and political aspects that may affect our clients’ business
Ahmed obtained his obtained FCE from University of Cambridge and attended refreshing courses in Arbitration at the Faculty of Law, Alexandria,
